Bring your favorite coffee drink along on your summer travels

Bring your favorite coffee drink along on your summer travels

When you hit the road or sky this summer on vacation, you'll likely face the dilemma of how much - and what - to pack. Sure, you must have enough changes of clothes and toiletries to survive when you're away from home. But who wants to leave behind their favorite daily beverage - coffee?

Envision your summer travels: You, by the pool. A good book in one hand, shades on your eyes and the sun warming your skin. The only thing you're missing is your iced coffee.

No matter if you'll be spending hours in the car or in airports and on a plane, it can be difficult to find a good cup of coffee while traveling away from home. So why not take it with you?

"You never know whether your next destination will have the high-quality, delicious coffee you've come to expect," says Starbucks coffee expert Ann-Marie Kurtz, "To make sure I can have a great cup of coffee anywhere I go, I pack along a few packets of Starbucks VIA(R) Ready Brew. It takes the guesswork out of coffee on-the-go."

Coffee packets make packing for travels easy because they can fit into pockets, purses and carry-on luggage. All you need is some milk - which can be purchased from a nearby convenience store - or water, sweetener if you prefer and of course, your favorite coffee. Visit www.starbucks.com for more information.

It's easy and simple to make your favorite coffee beverage while you're on-the-go:

Poolside Latte

Ingredients:
8 fl. oz. fresh milk
1 packet of Starbucks VIA Ready Brew
Additional sweetener and/or milk

Directions:
Mix ingredients into a tumbler and enjoy this beverage while lounging by the pool or at your summer home. You can also make this while at the airport or in the car by picking up a cold bottle of milk at a convenience store.

On-the-road Iced Coffee

Ingredients:
16 fl. oz. bottled water
1 packet of Starbucks VIA Iced Coffee
Additional sweetener and/or milk

Directions:
Mix ingredients together in the water bottle or a travel mug while in the car or waiting at the airport to catch a flight. If you're on the road, pack a cooler full of ice and water bottles so you don't miss out on this refreshing take on coffee.

Touring French Roast

While touring through Europe, America's national parks or even taking a walk around the neighborhood lake, don't miss out on your favorite coffee drink.

Ingredients:
8 fl. oz. hot water
1 packet of Starbucks VIA French Roast
Additional sweetener and/or milk

Directions:
Mix all ingredients together in a travel mug for a bold, full-bodied pick-me-up.
