Serves: 8
250gr bulgur wheat
500gr minced beef
500gr Ricotta Cheese
500ml boiling water
2 medium onions chopped
2 garlic cloves chopped
1 cup shredded mint
Salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste

In a bowl, leave the bulgur wheat into boiling water for about 1 hour.

After 1 hour mix the minced beef, onions, garlic and mint with the bulgur wheat until all ingredients are well mixed. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Preheat the oven to 200ºC / 400ºF.

Divide the mixture in 2 equal parts. Grease a 35 x 25cm bake tin with olive oil, and lay down 1 part of the mixture to cover the bottom of the bake tin, spread the ricotta cheese over the first layer and then cover the cheese with second part of the mixture. Now we have three layers.

Add some olive oil over the mixture and bake for about 40 minutes. Serve hot or cold.
